Jacqueline Royster
Jacqueline Jones Royster is currently Dean of Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. She holds the Ivan Allen Jr. Dean’s Chair in Liberal Arts and Technology, and is Professor of English in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication.
Royster graduated from Spelman College then went on to earn an M.A. and D.A. in English from the University of Michigan. She researches at the intersections of rhetorical studies, literacy studies, cultural studies, and women's studies. Basically a sweetheart feminist academic rockstar, Royster contributes to the social and political opportunities as a Rhet/Comp scholar by writing children's textbooks, reclaiming the lost or silent stories of women, and re-envisioning the canon of rhetoric. She's been awarded the Atlanta 5x5 award by being a role model and visionary and continues to win our faithful devotion by writing powerful and needed scholarship. |
